Safe AI for small businesses
AI Readiness Check
Your team is probably already using AI. Find out whether your data is safe, whether you're ready for tools like ChatGPT and Copilot, and where AI will save the most time first.
What we check
We're an IT and security team first, so we start with the risks before anyone switches anything on.
AI tools already in use
Most teams are already using ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini, often on personal accounts. We find out what's being used, by whom and for what.
Where your data goes
We check what client and business data is going into AI tools, whether the provider can keep or train on it, and where it's stored, with UK GDPR in mind.
Microsoft 365 and Copilot readiness
Copilot can surface anything a person has access to. We look for files and sites that are shared too widely in SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive before AI makes them easy to find.
Policy and training
Do staff know what they can and can't put into AI tools? We review what you have, or give you a policy to start from.
Your first quick wins
We map the repetitive tasks eating your team's week and pick the three where automation would save the most time, safely.

AI readiness: common questions
A review of whether your business can use AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot safely, and where they'd save the most time. It covers the AI tools already in use, where your data goes, Microsoft 365 permissions, your AI policy, and the best first tasks to automate.
It depends on the version and settings. Free and personal accounts may keep conversations and use them to improve the service, so client data shouldn't go into them. Business versions with data protection commitments are much safer, but you still need rules about what staff can share. The check tells you where you stand.
Microsoft 365 Copilot can only show people what they already have access to, but many businesses have files shared far more widely than they realise. Copilot makes those files easy to find, so it's worth fixing oversharing and adding sensitivity labels first.
No. We explain everything in plain English. If you have someone who manages your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, it helps to have them on the call, but it isn't essential.
We agree the scope with you on a short call first and confirm any cost before anything starts. There's no obligation to use us for the follow-up work.
