Business Landline Switch-Off
The UK's old phone network is being switched off. If your business still has lines on it, they need moving, along with anything else that uses them. We plan and manage the whole switch, keep your numbers and look after the new phone system.
It's not just the phones
The surprises usually come from equipment quietly using a phone line in a cupboard somewhere.
Your main phone numbers
Lines still on the old network need moving to a digital service. Your numbers can usually be kept.
Alarms and lift lines
Intruder and fire alarm diallers, lift emergency phones and door entry systems that use a phone line.
Card machines
Older card terminals that connect over a phone line rather than broadband or mobile data.
Fax and franking
Fax machines and franking machines that still dial out over the phone line.
Monitoring and telemetry
CCTV, building management, meters and other equipment that reports in over a phone line.
Old phone systems
On-site phone systems that depend on traditional lines and may need replacing rather than reconnecting.
How we handle the switch
- Step 1
Audit
We find every line and number you have, and everything connected to them, including the things nobody remembers until they stop working.
- Step 2
Plan
We recommend the right replacement for each line: Teams Phone or a cloud phone system for calls, and suitable digital or mobile options for alarms and equipment.
- Step 3
Our telecoms partner does the line work
Number transfers, new lines and on-site line work are carried out by our specialist telecoms partner, with Senri coordinating everything.
- Step 4
We set up and test
We configure call routing, menus and voicemail, get handsets and apps working, and test alarms and equipment with their providers.
- Step 5
We manage it
Your phone system becomes part of your IT. Changes, new starters, call queues and support all go through one point of contact: us.
One point of contact from start to finish. You don't have to chase a phone company, an alarm company and an IT provider separately.

It depends on the alarm. Ask the alarm company whether it's compatible with a digital line, and we'll include it in the plan and test it with them after the change.
Yes. Teams Phone works inside Microsoft Teams, so staff can make and take calls in the app they already use, with call queues, auto-attendants and voicemail managed alongside the rest of your IT.
