We Had 979 Phishing Emails Reaching Staff. And Didn't Know
The Problem
A large organisation had no anti-phishing policies in place. Impersonation emails, including spoofed messages using the head of the organisation's name, were being handled manually by creating individual mail flow rules. The actual scale of the problem was unknown.
What We Did
Deployed a Microsoft Defender for Office 365 anti-phishing policy with spoof intelligence, DMARC honour (reject/quarantine), and unauthenticated sender indicators. Used a phased rollout: junk folder first, monitoring for false positives, then quarantine enforcement.
The Result
Within 7 days, spoof intelligence revealed 979 spoofed emails that had been reaching user inboxes completely unfiltered. The manual approach had been catching a fraction of the actual volume. Full automated protection now in place.
“You don't know how bad the problem is until you turn on the tools. Anti-phishing configuration took one session to deploy and caught nearly 1,000 threats in the first week.”
Our Team Was Spending 6 Hours a Week on Follow-Ups
A small consultancy was losing hours every week chasing leads manually. Business cards sat in a drawer. Past clients hadn't been contacted in months. Discovery calls turned into days of back-and-forth before a quote was sent.
Result: 6+ hours per week saved across the team. Leads followed up within minutes instead of days. Quote turnaround dropped from 2 days to 15 minutes. No new software for the team to learn.
AI automation isn't about replacing people. It's about giving them their time back for the work that actually matters.
We Had No IT Support. Just the Office Manager Googling Things
A growing creative agency had no IT support. When something broke, the office manager tried to fix it or called a freelancer who charged by the hour and took days to respond. Devices were unmanaged, passwords shared, backups non-existent, and two laptops had been lost with no way to wipe them.
Result: Office manager no longer the accidental IT person. Response time went from “maybe tomorrow” to under 30 minutes. Lost laptops remotely wiped. New starters get a fully configured device on day one. Total cost: less than their previous freelancer.
Proper IT support for a 12-person team costs less than most businesses expect and saves more time than they realise.
Our Website Was Costing Us £2,000 a Year and We Couldn't Even Update It
A small retailer was paying a design agency £170/month to host a WordPress site they'd built two years ago. The site was slow, not mobile-friendly, and every content change required a 5-day turnaround. They were locked into annual contracts.
Result: Annual web cost dropped by 75%. Site loads three times faster. Content changes happen same-day. No contract lock-in. Mobile traffic increased 40% within two months.
Small businesses shouldn't need agency budgets for a professional web presence. A well-built site with honest hosting doesn't have to cost the earth.
