GEO for small businesses
Get Your Business Recommended by AI Search
Customers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Copilot and Google's AI Overviews who to use, not just search for a list of links. We find out what AI says about your business, then fix what's stopping it recommending you.
Search is changing
When someone asks an AI tool for a recommendation, they usually get a short answer naming two or three businesses, not ten blue links. If you're not one of them, you may never know the customer was looking.
The good news: most small business websites aren't set up for this yet, so a few technical fixes and clearer content can make a real difference.
Signs you need this
- You search your own service and area in ChatGPT and a competitor comes up instead
- AI tools describe your business wrongly, or with old details
- Your website was built on a template years ago and nobody has checked it since
- Your Google reviews are good but you rarely appear in AI answers
What we check and fix
What AI says about you today
We ask ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews the questions your customers ask, such as "best accountant in Ealing", and record who gets recommended and whether you're mentioned.
Can AI read your website?
Many sites block AI search crawlers by accident, through robots.txt, a firewall or a website builder setting. We check access for the crawlers behind ChatGPT search, Perplexity, Copilot and Google, and fix what's blocked.
Structured data
Schema markup tells search engines and AI exactly who you are, where you work, what you offer and what customers say. We add or fix it for your business, services, reviews and FAQs.
Your business everywhere AI looks
AI tools cross-check your Google Business Profile, Bing Places, directories and review sites. We make sure your name, address, services and contact details match everywhere.
Answer-first content
AI quotes pages that answer questions clearly. We restructure key pages with direct answers, FAQs and specifics, so there's something worth citing.
Faster indexing
We set up IndexNow and keep your sitemap clean, so Bing, which powers much of ChatGPT and Copilot search, sees your updates within hours rather than weeks.
How it works
- Step 1
AI visibility check
We test the questions your customers ask across the main AI tools and audit your website's technical setup.
- Step 2
Fix list
A plain-English report: what AI says now, what's stopping you being recommended, and the fixes in priority order.
- Step 3
We fix it, or you do
Our web team can make the changes for you, or hand the list to whoever runs your website. We re-test afterwards.
We do this for our own site
senri.co.uk publishes an llms.txt file for AI tools, uses structured data on every page, pings IndexNow whenever a page changes, and puts a short, direct answer at the top of our most-read guides. It's the same setup we put in place for clients.

AI search visibility: common questions
GEO is the work of making your business easy for AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews to find, understand and recommend. It builds on good SEO but focuses on crawler access, structured data, consistent business details and clear, quotable answers.
Make sure ChatGPT's search crawler can access your site, that your business is listed accurately on Bing Places and Google Business Profile, that your website states clearly what you do and where, and that you have genuine reviews. Pages that answer customers' questions directly are more likely to be cited.
No, and nobody honestly can. AI tools choose their answers and change often. What we can do is remove the technical blockers, make your business information clear and consistent, and measure what AI says about you before and after.
They overlap. Good SEO still matters because many AI tools search the web before answering. GEO adds checks SEO often misses, such as AI crawler access, llms.txt, how AI describes your business, and whether your content is written in a way AI can quote.
Visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot often show in Google Analytics as referrals from sites like chatgpt.com and perplexity.ai. We can set up a simple report so you can see AI traffic separately from search and social.
We're based in Brentford, West London, and work with many businesses across London, but AI visibility work is done remotely, so we can help businesses anywhere in the UK.
