Windows 10 & Old Laptop Help
Keep your old PC safe, or move on without losing a thing.
Windows 10 reached the end of standard support in October 2025. Home PCs can keep getting security updates until 12 October 2027, but only if they're enrolled in Microsoft's Extended Security Updates programme, and many aren't. We check where your computer stands and sort it: enrol it, upgrade it to Windows 11 if it can run it, or move everything safely to a new laptop.

Windows 10 Help: common questions
Only if it's still getting security updates. Microsoft's Extended Security Updates programme for home PCs runs until 12 October 2027, but your PC must be enrolled. Without updates, new security holes won't be fixed.
Eligible PCs show an enrolment option in Windows Update. Microsoft offers a few ways to enrol, including syncing your settings to a Microsoft account. We can check whether your PC is enrolled and set it up for you.
Windows 11 needs a supported processor, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. Microsoft's PC Health Check app tells you, and we can check on the visit. Many PCs from around 2018 onwards can upgrade for free.
Once everything is safely moved, we securely wipe it so your personal data can't be recovered, ready to recycle, sell or pass on.
