Landline Switchover in Brentford
Brentford mixes riverside apartment blocks with older terraces and family houses. In newer flats the phone is often already plugged into the router, while older homes may still have extension sockets that will stop working. In blocks with shared door entry or lift lines, the building manager is responsible for checking those.

Landline Switchover Help in Brentford: FAQs
If your phone already plugs into the router, you may be ready. If it plugs into a wall socket, it needs moving when your provider switches the line. We can check in a short visit, and set up call blocking while we're there.
The old copper phone network is due to finish switching off by 31 January 2027, and providers are moving customers in stages before then. Your provider should write to you before your line is moved.
Usually not. Most phones keep working once they're plugged into the router or a digital phone adapter. Some older or unusual handsets need replacing, which we check on the visit.
